Agustin Tapia, born on July 24, 1999, in Catamarca, Argentina, displayed a natural talent for Padel from a young age, quickly advancing through the junior ranks. Encouraged by his family and coaches, his skills and strategic play became evident early on. Standing at 1.79 meters, Tapia's agility and precise shot-making have been crucial to his success. Playing primarily on the left side, his tactical acumen and creativity have distinguished him as a rising star in the sport.
Agustin Tapia’s passion for Padel began early. At 15, he left his family in Catamarca for Rosario to enhance his skills. His dedication led him to become Argentina’s top player and, at 17, he competed in the World Padel Tour in Spain, reaching the Barcelona Master final draw. Training in Barcelona for the World Championship, Tapia's efforts culminated at 18 with his first professional contract with NOX, launching his successful professional career.
Early in his career, Agustin Tapia partnered with seasoned players like Juan Martin Diaz and Maxi Sanchez, refining his game and gaining valuable experience. His exceptional precision and nimble movements, combined with his elegant style of play, made him a standout player. Tapia's breakthrough came when he teamed up with Pablo Lima; their synergy and complementary skills led to numerous victories. Frequent appearances in the finals underscored his rising star status, capturing the attention of fans and experts alike.
Currently, Agustin Tapia partners with Arturo Coello, forming one of the most formidable duos in the Padel world. They quickly climbed the rankings to become the number one pair on the World Padel Tour. In 2023, they made history by winning 11 titles, including the Skechers Mexico Padel Open. Tapia and Coello's synergy led to an extraordinary streak of nine consecutive titles and 46 match victories, the second-longest in World Padel Tour history. Their dominance was highlighted by key victories against top competitors like Juan Lebron and Ale Galan.

In 2023, they continued their success by winning the Mexico WPT, Paris Premier Padel Major, Mendoza Premier Padel P1, Madrid Premier Padel P1, and Italy Premier Padel Major. This string of triumphs underscores their remarkable synergy and competitive prowess on the global Padel stage.
